If you are thinking about taking a business online, it is important that you first understand how technology will be used. Some things you should consider include: – How do customers use technology, including mobile devices? – Which device do they use when shopping? – Do they shop while using multiple devices? – What search engine do they prefer? – What social media networks do they most often use? – When does traffic on those sites peak? – Where does your target audience go for entertainment and where do they gather information about businesses and products like yours?

Choose an Online Platform: There are many options available depending on whether you want to sell physical or digital products. Once you decide which products or services best suit your company’s needs, check out these sites and look at what other similar companies have done with them. After choosing one of these platforms, check out their specific offerings and identify which ones meet your needs.

It can be overwhelming deciding what platform is best for you, but you’ll have time to make your decision later.

For example, if you sign up for Wix, they’ll provide you with domain hosting services; however, if you’d prefer to use something else or already have an existing domain name that has been registered elsewhere, it’s always an option. but keep in mind there may be some setup/cost involved.

Step 4 – Web Hosting and Email Setup

To start taking a business online, you’ll need an email address. Without one, you can’t create a website or open up a shop on any eCommerce site like eBay. Then you’ll want to sign up for web hosting, which gives your site its address. There are plenty of great providers, and pricing isn’t too bad, considering it’s all part of starting a business (most plans run around $5/month).

Once that’s all squared away – congratulations! You’re officially taking a business online. But wait – there’s more! It’s time to get your product in front of potential customers.
